I am a big fan of witch hazel. You can get it at any pharmacy, and it's inexpensive. Wash your face with a gentle exfoliant-I like St Ives Apricot scrub, but the choice is yours- then wipe it with witch hazel. The exfoliant will remove dead skin and open your pores. The witch hazel decreases the oil that plugs your pores, causing pimples, and softens your skin.
I presume you have been using creams with benzoyl peroxide. It can zap zits but is tough on the skin. Its very synthetic. Tea tree oil works nearly as well on zits even when they have become red and inflamed. A number of australian companies do these. Sanctum makes an organic blemish control cream.
