It was leave the area bruised for about 2 days but the worse it gets the better is had worked. Then all that is to be done is wipe the ance away. Can you please give me more information of this process and if you could the exact name of the treatment. Thank you.Hi i have a question about an oxygen treatment for acne?

Does this sound like a good homemade treatment for acne-prone skin?
I don't know the proper ratios yet, but this is my idea... What do you think of it?
Aloe Vera gel
Tea Tree oil
apple cider vinegar or rosewater (which one is better?)
an aspirin tabletDoes this sound like a good homemade treatment for acne-prone skin?
You are on the right track here. The tea tree oil, vinager/rosewater, and asprin have all been shown to improve and clarify skin. I think these three are great!
BUT...Aloe Vera gel can clog pores and make things worse. I learned this from personal experience.
If you have no reaction to aloe vera gel then you should go for it :) Sounds good!
Just start out with small amounts and work up :)Does this sound like a good homemade treatment for acne-prone skin?
no. you're not a scientist.... get something that is already made.
*edit*
do not fool around with making these products yourself. you most likely don't understand the chemistry of the things you're mixing together and how they react when mixed, and what they can do to your skin. you'll waste a lot more money if you have to go to the doctor for causing yourself an infection, lesions, burns, or worse.
Aloe Vera and Tea Tree oil = oily skin. What causes acne? Oil + clogged pores.
Vinegar = dry skin
Aspirin = Zero results
You would do well to go to the pharmacy and buy a good acne treatment and forget your ';witches brew.';
not rlly
but idk
give it a try :D

Do any of the so-called ';overnight'; acne/spot treatments actually work overnight?
I want to know which ones are actually worth buying as many that promise to dry up spots overnight actually take up to a week.Do any of the so-called ';overnight'; acne/spot treatments actually work overnight?
Don't bother with products, if you can't pronounce the ingredients, it is most likely bad for you in the long run. Try this:
Take a lemon and slice it into fourths. Go and steam your face to open up your pores. Then take the lemon and rub it ALL OVER your face. It will most likey sting a little bit, or a lot if you have sensetive skin. This is like your own safe chemical peel, because there is a lot of harmless acid in lemons. This acid will get rid of the dirt in your pores and cleanse them out. It will also get rid of the bacteria in the actual pimple. I cannot guarentee you that in 1 night the pimple will be gone, but it WILL help.
Remember to put the lemon EVERYWHERE! Even where there isn't a pimple, your pores will be cleaned out VERY well. It some lemon pulp comes off onto your face, don't worry, it is for the best!Do any of the so-called ';overnight'; acne/spot treatments actually work overnight?
Not really... at least not the ones i have tried! Maybe some of the expensive ones work thays why they're expensive.
The best cure for Acne is the sun. Go sunbathing and get brown, it will go away then.
You might get skin cancer, but thats the way the cookie crumbles
i found that the only things that work for acne are pills from the hospital in otherwords prescription drugs which are monitered very closely with blood tests etc.
Save your money and dab on some toothpaste before going to bed.
NO !!
They all take a few days.
Use Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser
daily to prevent acne.
I use a little tube of Neutrogena stuff that's called ';On The Spot Acne Treatment.'; It works very quickly for me! I put it on the acne spots overnight, and it is visibly reduced in the morning. I think it is impossible for it to completely disappear, but it really works well. I also heard that putting eyedrop solution on zits can help to reduce the redness. I have never tried it, but it may work...
I tried Pro-Active and it didn't work good. I got it cause i am pregnant and getting zits bad! I switched to Clean and Clear, and my face is doing a LOT better.
Some greatly improve the 'spot' but doesn't just make it go way completly. You have to just try everything, and find out what will work for you. Try the cheep stuff, sometimes it works better.
try using proactive
Clean and Clear overnight acne medicine works VERY well. It may not shrink the pimple completely in one night, but it does make it considerably smaller. Trust me. What makes it work even better is after washing your face, use a toner followed with alcohol over the pimple. That adds an extra drying effect. After the toner and alcohol, dab on the clean and clear. When you wake up, the pimple will be gone or considerably smaller. I always use it at the first sign of a pimple. The ones I treat right away are the ones that go away overnight. BTW you can also wear it under your make-up. It's absolutely clear and forms a layer over the pimple so makeup or facial lotions don't penetrate it. Trust me girl. You will thank me in the morning!
i find that a little tube from superdrugs clarity range works fantastically and reduces my spots quicker than anything else i have tried usally 2-3 days. costs about 拢2.99
i dunno of anything quicker but drinking lots of what helps and so does eating less junk food.
Hi i havent found any that work over night, i find these make the spot worse. But obviously if you have acne then the doctor would prescribe something for you to use. But if its the odd pimple nothing works. I usually put purfume on it as it dries them up but stings.
The other week i bought boots no7 calm and concel one end is a treatment stick for blemished and the other end is a concealer. It does reduce spots but they still dont just dissapear. Also boots own make of spot contol stuff is quite good i bought a body scrub for 拢1.49 and just rub a small amount on the spots and this morning they werent as red and dried up and not affected my skin.
try proactive. It helped my mom and my brother, and they had acne all over their face.
Oxy 10 makes a big difference but it does take about 3 days. Don't overuse it as it can make your sore if you do.
No they don't. They all take a few days to start working.
Put toothpaste on spots..it is just as effective and dries them out just as effectively...that's not a joke!

Is there a suitable 'over the counter' treatment for Acne ?
Hi, I'm 29 with an odd acne problem, I've been diagnosed by a doctor and have several different treatments which included 'Betnovate' cream in two differnt varients, some antibiotic tablet (cant remember the name) and now I've been given Lymecycline. Luckily the acne is not on my face or arms, but on my legs so its quite easy to cover up! Is there anything I could try thats available over the counter that could help, or has anyone else experienced these problems and knows how to help?Is there a suitable 'over the counter' treatment for Acne ?
I use Panoxyl Aqua gel 10. It makes the spots worse when you first use it, but it has cleared mine up very well. It works by drying up the spots. It makes the skin peel for a short while, but this soon clears up. It bleaches clothes, so put it on half an hour before going to bed.Is there a suitable 'over the counter' treatment for Acne ?
Panoxyl and Duac are both very good, i think you need a prescription for them though

Whats the best cleanser or spot treatment for acne?
I’ve been breaking out latly and i think it might be my cleanser,, i really need help finding a good one that actually works?
Have you found any that have really helped???
I seriously need one!! I have tried EVERYTHINGGGG clean and clear, spectro, aveeno,
I’ve never tried Neutrogena or st.ives
Are they any good
Pleaselet me know as much as possible thx a lot byeWhats the best cleanser or spot treatment for acne?
Neutrogena ia great but it depends on your skin type. Like I have combination skin and I use the Oil-Free Cleanser and Scrub. But I think right now, you need to look for something that says ';gentle'; (which is what the one I use says). But you also need an exfoliater because the breakouts could be due to buildup on the skin. If you do decide to use the oil-free products like i do, get the orange one and not the pink grapefruit. the orange kind is genteler than the pink though they both are Neutrogena.

Adult Acne....Best remedy/treatment????????
I am a female in my late 30's but my skin is starting to look like that of a teenager! I never had acne this bad or painful before...mild breakouts when a teen, but never like this. I have red, sore lumps, no white-heads. Serious answers only please, as this is painful enough..... Thanks.Adult Acne....Best remedy/treatment????????
I'm also 30 with adult acne. I know what you mean. I have PCOS and its one of the symptoms of the disease. I just try and deal but support is helpful.
I would go to dailystrength.com or webmd.com and they can give you better answers than I. I'm in several forums there at dailystrength, but not in that one at this time. If you go to dailystrength go to the communitties and stroll down. It will also provide you with doctors in that field to ask questions to for free. The site is a life saver for me and I have met some very nice, responsible people there!! If you go to webmd, just type it in and it will give a list of meds to ask for or answers to ask your doctor. Hope this helps. I'm currently on no meds, I just watch what I eat, and keep my face cleaner than the average person. Also, don't wear alot of makeup and if you do be sure and wash it off everynight before bed. I know you probably do but some don't. Keep me posted on what you thought and the outcomes of your acne. God Bless.Adult Acne....Best remedy/treatment????????

To start off with, never use harsh products on acne, it will only irritate it more. My suggestion is to use more gentler products.
I鈥檝e used stuff from proactive, acnefree, medicated cleansers, expensive department store stuff like sheseido, differin, duac, etc. none of them worked very well for me. Most of them made my skin worse.
Once a week, you should use a facial masque that will suck out all of the oils and impurities from your skin. The one that I use is called ';Queen Helene Mint Julep'; and let me tell you, this stuff is amazing! I buy it at Sally's Beauty Supply for about 5 dollars for a huge tub of it. This stuff lasts me about 1 1/2 years.
Every morning I wash my face with a clarifying cleanser that I purchase at www.ifeelpretty.com
This cleanser is VERY gentle, and works amazingly, I love it.
For on the spot treatment, (AKA, for a pimple that you need to get rid of FAST, use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque on your pimple overnight, then wash off in the morning, and it will be reduced tremendosly
The last and most important thing, is to MOISTURIZE! This is a personal preference of coarse, but for me, I use Olay moisturizers, they are cheap and work.
Hope this helps!
If it is adult acne usually it is caused by a hormone imbalance or it may be stress related or a number of things.
If you never really had acne as a teenager you may have some built up impurities that come from foods, the air you breathe, or just about anything you put into your body.
I would consider an all natural oral medication that works from the inside and see if that helps.
Good luck
if it hurts so bad then you should go see a dermatologist...if they say its just acne then do not go ahead and get a prescription from them..id try proactive before paying for expensive prescriptions..if you havent seen the commercials let me just go ahead and tell you proactive works really well and fast..my brother used it..i know a lot of people who do use it now..and even kelly clarkson and jessica simpson used it..if that doesnt work then go back to your doctor and try their medicine..
o also..have you been eating really unhealthily lately? a change in diet? not washitn your face? all of those things can cause breakouts..so consider that before getting treatment
If it is bad as you say then I would definitely just go to my local dermatologist (during skin reaction so he can see it) %26amp; tell him how your skin is behaving. It could even be your hormones (there's a pill for that too)but first I would see if he can give you some type of lotion/med. for your skin %26amp; if that doesn't work maybe you can move on to something stronger.
If this is ';not'; something you want to do then you can also try going to a local Day spa for monthly facials.
Apply moisturer and cleanse it.
Wash your affected areas with cold water.
Apply aloe vera gel and do a slow massage.
Apply Witch hazel, rosewater or even jasmine water.
Cream for skin and body would be fine.
Next:
Change your diet.
Eat more fruits and vegetables
with loads of tofu, bean-curds and fibre.
Drink lots of water.
Cleanse your body by either steaming, detoxification
or exercise.

Also it wouldn't hurt to drink more water. Hope everything works out well.

What is the best spot treatment rare acne?
I hardly ever have acne, and until recently I started getting 2 or 3 pimples at a time on my chin. I bought Clean %26amp; Clear Persa-Gel 10 to get rid of them, and it dried them out and whatnot but then I stopped using it since they went away and then they just came right back. Is there reasoning behind this? I haven't changed my daily routine as far as washing my face, etc. so I don't know why I'm getting acne all of a sudden.
Is there a better product out there that will get rid of them for good, or do I just have to deal with it for now?
P.S. I am not going through puberty. I'm 21 years old. What is the best spot treatment rare acne?
I really good home remedy I found is using toothpaste. Don't use the gel kind.
Wash the pimple with warm water, apply a dab of toothpaste, leave it on for 10 mins, then wash it off with cold water. It works very well for me, and they are usually gone in 2 days, 3 max.
It's very good for people like me, who get adverse reactions from acne creams and things.
It's not permanent, but it works very well.makeup brush

sometimes you can give yourself ';product poisoning'; by using so many different things. Best suggestions are to keep it simple: use benzoil peroxide (like stridex) to clean your skin, keep your hands away from it (try not to pick at it), and do not use moisturizer. Instead, go to an old-fasioned drug store and get something called rose water. Rose water (and glycerin) helps tighten pores, keep skin lubricated without excess oil, and will help smooth irritated skin. If you can't find it where you live, call heritage products at 1-800-862-2923. It's only about $10 and lasts a long time - huge difference for me and my sister and all our teen aged kids. It was recommended by the doctor. If you can't buy more things (like stridex) witch hazel (which is about a dollar a bottle at the drugstore) is a great cleaner and toner.
And don't forget to drink tons of water and eat fresh fruits and vegetables to detox the skin. And skip the excess sugar when you can - in soda, junk food, etc. It just messes with your skin the way that fast food does. Good luck - and remember, it's a struggle for everyone. (and if you don't get any results with this, a trip to the dermatologist is worth it - or get a consult from the pharmacist, as they are very well trained and happy to help at any good pharmacy).
I went to the doctors for similar problem and he prescribed - 'Retin A' Gel. The instructions say it's the best choice and nothing over the counter is better. I'm only a few days into it but my skin feels better.
I've used both Retin A and BenzaClin. They are both by perscription and work well. I have oily skin and they are what I use.
This may sound odd... but I would do the Clinique 3-step system. It's for women, but it works really well for my acne. Go online to do a skin report.
Try toothpaste. Seriously--anything with zinc in it should help.
I have head that acnezine does wonders for acne. This product will eliminates spots, pimples, redness, puss, blackheads %26amp; whiteheads. This might be exactly what you are looking for. More information is provided below. Good luck!
Mary Kay - Velocity cleanser is really good. If your acne is REALLY bad you might want to just find a dermatologist who can give you a prescription before your skin scars up.
Try motor oil.
Make sure you are washing your face 3-4 times a day with just soap and water. Then you can use Clearasil, over the counter.Use it before you go to bed. If you use a cotton ball you will see the dirt and grim that you are getting off.Dial is best to wash with 3-4 times a day.Male With Acne and Blackheads Need Treatment Help!!?
sometimes you can give yourself ';product poisoning'; by using so many different things.

What is the most effective treatment for acne?
my favorite cousin was asked to model in a school party and she is really beautiful, i was very excited for her until she went to my house and showed me her huge acne problem in her back... she has many pimples and because she has tried to vanish them with her nails she also has SCARS in her back, it just looks awful and she has lost hope to model, i just want to help her with the acne, not because of the runway but for everything.. i just think she cant go hiding her back for the rest of her life and waste the opostunity to be a model!! HELP!!
pd. the party is in a month and a half, i just want tips for her to have good skin in her back and something to help her with the acne. What is the most effective treatment for acne?
I highly suggest you purchase an acne solution cream, called ';zapzyt'; it contains 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, and you apply it three times a day daily, and in about a week or two you will see how the acne is vanishing. It will continue to go away if you continue using zapzyt. It honestly works, i bought it thinking it one of those that says it works but it doesnt, but i was hopless and believe me, if i get acne, it is huge and never ending, and i needed the best i could get and i think i found it.
I also recomend the toothpaste formula, you can apply toothpste to some pimples.
As well as you can try CAREFULLY popping them, and immediately as soon as they pop disinfect them with clearasil or an alcohol swab.
It works for me.
A cause for pimples on the back or face is sometimes from the sun, Ery ear i go on vacation and i tan, therfor when i get back i have pimples all over my back, from the tan, kind of like a reaction. That should be taken care of with some methods i wrote above, however in time it should fade away.
Out of all the things i specified you with i mostly reccoment the zapzyt acne solution. Just make sure it contains 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, it may come with lower percentages but for best resuts i reccomend 10%.

What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.
Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

Hi i had the same problem myself awhile back! i used to have acne all over me too. and now my skin is good as new. first off, STOP, scratching that could do permeanent damage! 2. I would recommend using PROactive. the stuff works within one week for guarunteed results. If that is too expensive or it isnt able to be obtained, go to any local CVS and try around some products and see what works best for your skin! i would have to say Neutrosil. hope this helps! and best of luck for modeling

What can I expect with treatment for acne scarring?
I am a 29 year old woman. I have had acne off and on for as long as I can remember. I have an uneven skin tone with a lot of reddish scars, but no real ';ice pick'; type scars. I also have some melasma due to my 3 pregnancies. What are the best treatments for acne scarring and uneven skin tone? Also, I have my acne under pretty good control with the use of prescription topical medications. However, I do get a pimple now and then. Is there anything I can do to prevent that turning into a scar? I have a consult with a dermatologist next week, but want to be armed with info. I want to get sme type of cosmetic treatment done for my skin, but don't want to pay a fortune to have it done only to develop new scars when I get pimples. Any advice or personal experience? I just want to be able to leave my house without wearing foundation for once. What can I expect with treatment for acne scarring?

Hi!
i have really bad acne i hav tried all the normal stuf but none of it seems to work, my doctor perscribed me oxytetrocylcing or something which worked really wel for a couple of years but then stopped working, im now using microtin but they dont really work, i know there is another drug i can i have but i hav to be a bit older as it involves blood tests..... anyway in the meen time i was wondering if any of the products out in the market work? proactive? clinique antibelimish? please let me know what helpd, thnx! xWhat is the best skin treatment for acne?
Dermalogica skin products are really good aswellWhat is the best skin treatment for acne?
having a proper diet (food intake) and keeping your skin as clean as possible are probably the best things you can do. Over the counter stuff are just band aids and very temporary. good luck, because this is a difficult one and it has genetic roots. See a trust worthy dermatologist.
I have very sensitive skin and am prone to dermatitis. I find that Clarins stuff doesn't irritate and the repair stuff does seem to help. You can ask for a facial and see how it reacts to your skin before you buy it, as you can with the other expensive brands such as Clinique. It's worth it if it works. Maybe you could try a different brand each week before you buy any. They're usually happy to demonstrate their products. The trick is not to be pressured into buying until you find something that suits you because it can be expensive. lol
I know how it feels to have blemished skin and people looking at it. You have my sympathy. Hope you find something that works.
Best Wishes
proactive
try to use sulfur containing soap for cleansing and try Panoxyl lotion or cream (benzoyl peroxide) its prescription only medicine
I got proactive and thought it would help but it didn't at all. It dried up all my skin and made it red and it made my skin worst than what it was before proactive.
My younger step-siblings used proactive and got fairly good results.
Proactive works great!!! It is kind of expensive, but is well worth the money! I have been using it for about 4 years now and can't imagine not using it!
My dermatologist prescribed me Lymecycline and after a few weeks I had no active Acne at all. They are tablets so you don't need to apply it to your skin. But they damn worked. If you get them from an nhs Dermatologist you can buy 900 tablets for I think 拢7.10 from a pharmacy.
Not to ruin the whole proactive encouragement, but proactive only worked decently for me and it gave me more hair on my face. (No, I don't have a beard and it's not that noticeable, I just notice it b/c its me)
I use clearasil and clinique
but i don't know if you have the same skin type so i guess these might not work
=) good luck

Has anyone tried NLite laser treatment for acne scars?
I had some old acne scars zapped with an NLite laser yesterday. The doctor at the clinic said that the laser would leave marks like a small bruise, but this should clear up within a week or so.
Well, today the marks are a hideous purple. I look like a swarm of bees has attacked my chin and forehead. Has anyone tried NLite laser treatment before? If so, do you know how much longer is it going to be like this? I'm just a bit worried as I am going away somewhere hot in a couple of days, and I don't think my foundation / concealer is going to hide the marks very effectively.
Thanks!Has anyone tried NLite laser treatment for acne scars?
Honestly, I think it will take a litle bit longer than that. Slight bruising may appear which can last for 5-7 days.

I could do with some of that for my crows feet.
no
Never had it done But i hear any thing with vitamin E in helps heal things like that

What is the best homemade treatment for acne?
The different methods I have heard of are scrubbing your face with tomato, aspirin, sugar, and using an egg white/yolk mask. I haven't tried any of those methods yet, but which do you think would be the one that works best? Is it bad to try all four in one day?
What I have tried is putting dabs of white toothpaste on each pimple, but it doesn't seem to always work. Please recommend me any homemade treatments you have, and which ones are the best. Thanks! =)What is the best homemade treatment for acne?

Its been approved by the FDA and has shown a lot of success. There are other laser treatments available for acne as well. If you have a laser treatment facility in your area see if they do the proceedures.

Is this a safe treatment for acne?
I've just started a Minocin MR course (prescribed acne medication), it takes about 1 month before there is signs of improvement.
Is using Minocin MR and Benzoyl Peroxide (as a cleanser/ointment) a safe combination/treatment?
I see the doctor in a month's time to check on my improvement, i don't want to go to the doctor before then to see if this is an effective treatment.
Should I use the two treatments/ wait 'til after my checkup so that i can see how effective the minocin mr has been on it's own (not that it would matter as long as my skin cleared!)Is this a safe treatment for acne?
Before you do the treatments, ask the pharmacist. He'll tell you if they are contra-indicated.

What is the best treatment for acne scars?
I have a fair complexion. I am kind of tan. I have acne scars from the days when i didn't take care of my skin very well/puberty.
Most of my acne scars are around my nose. Some are on my cheeks, and there's one right above the bridge of my nose. They aren''t very noticeable, it's mainly the ones around my nose i'm mostly annoyed with. but anyways, what is the best way to get rid of most, if not all, of my acne scars?
how much will the treatment cost? and, how long will it take for the treatment to start working? :]What is the best treatment for acne scars?

i use a smoothing lotion. Its called Ponds dry skin lotion and smoother. or something like that. and its been great to me. Mederma works alright, but it has a gel base and maybe im just weird but it left my face feeling greasy, and kinda like how hair feels whenever it hasnt been washed for a while. Neither are too expensive Ponds you can find at drugstores, and i think the same goesa for Merderma.
it didnt take to long for me, but you cant forget 2 3 or 4 days in a row you know?

Any acne treatments out there like Proactiv?
I would like to have the proactiv acne treatments, but the problem is I can't afford it! How do these people think college students can pay for this stuff?! lol I just like to know if there is any ';cheaper'; solution just like it...and works!Any acne treatments out there like Proactiv?
there are a few, they can be found at any drug store or walmart. Acne free has worked the best for me, Klear Action sucked.
The 2 I listed are generic Proactives. For me and from others that I have seen, the AcneFree is much more effective and similar to ProActive. I found a link to AcneFree for you to look at, and it even offers a free sample. You can find this stuff at any drug store like CVS, Walgreens or Walmart.

I use this stuff called Clear.Now. You have to get it on line. i think it cost about 30-40 $. The web address is quixtar.com. Check it out it worked for me in one day.
i tried clearsil..it luks lik its wokin...but neutrogena n others suk!!
Do you happen to have health insurance? If so, talk to your doctor. You can get an antibiotic to take orally and ask for a prescription for some wipes that you use twice a day. Works great! Good luck!
Try these simple remedies. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on pimples. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

if there are, have you had any luck with them? Are there any over the counter acne scar treatments?
Any vitamin c serum will reduce the scarring. Be cautious when choosing one, you don't want an oil based vit c serum as if you use too much it will give you blackheads so you want a lotion rather than an oil.Vit c is the only vitamin that promotes collagen formation which is what we need to heal. Yes, many oral antibiotics are commonly prescribed for acne -- doxycycline, tetracycline, erythromycin, Bactrim, sumycin, minocin ... the list goes on, but these are the most common. Sometimes, topical antibiotics are used, but oral antibiotics are the most effective. You must get a prescription for all of these from a physician. After taking antibiotics for an illness my acne went away.....now im off it came back, is there treatment.....

How fast does presciption acne treatments work?
I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

My son went from totally horrid acne, all over his body, to none in about two weeks, with Acutane. The acne never came back!
Depends on how bad the breakout is. But you should see some results in about 2 weeks.
Idk. I tried it once, and it like totally broke my face out. but i guess i gave up on it too soon. If you stick to it, i hear it takes a couple months. But if breaking out occurs, keep on using it, its probably worth it.

Had Facial Treatment for Acne/Blackheads now my face is MESSED UP?
I Had Facial Treatment for Acne/Blackheads now my face is MESSED UP.
I went to this cosmotologist who charged me like $140 for facial treatment, she waxed my face, squeezed out my blackheads, zapped my zits with this thing that burned my face and I could smell the smoke then put me under this light that blinked really fast for an hour. IT WAS EXTREMELY PAINFUL.
It's my first time and now that i'm done and looked at the mirror my face is all SORE and filled with red DOTS but what pisses me off is that i STILL SEE BLACKHEADS, no zits but the blackheads are still there!!!!
She's asking me to come back for another 'facial' to remove the blackheads.
My question is has anyone tried this???? Does this sound legit??? And how many treatments does this take??? Its really painful, especially the squeezing part, so I dont want to go again!
Oh yeah, I'm a guy and I cried through the whole thing....literally tears were running down my face.Had Facial Treatment for Acne/Blackheads now my face is MESSED UP?
Have you ever heard of the expression, ';there is a sucker born every minute.';
NEVER EVER have someone squeeze your pimples. You can develop scares as a result of this. This cosmotologist is not a dermatologist. ONLY trust a dermatologist.
I would go back and ask for your money to be refunded.Had Facial Treatment for Acne/Blackheads now my face is MESSED UP?
Was she just some cosmotologist who did a sketchy college course?
Or was she an actual dermatologist (doctor)?
I wouldn't go back to her.
I would go see an actual dermatologist.
If there was an easy way to get rid of acne, doctors wouldnt prescribe the dangerous drug accutane. People with severe acne get accutane prescribed and it takes 5 months for most people to completely be cleared of acne. You were scammed. The best way to get rid of acne is naturally. People look for products that are a cure all and there is no such thing aside from accutane, and accutane has all kinds of horrible side effects so its dangerous for some people so doctors dont prescribe it to anyone. The light she gave you was probably the only legit thing she did, it was most likely pulse light, which reduces redness in the skin sometimes. Everything else she did was stupid.

Male With Acne and Blackheads Need Treatment Help!!?
African American Male with oily skin and acne, does anyone know any treatments that actually works, I've tried proactive, murad and neutrogena please helpMale With Acne and Blackheads Need Treatment Help!!?
Treatment regimens like Proactiv only work if you stick to them for a month or more. During the first 2 weeks of using something, you are going to break out more. Thats how it works.
You could try an 'aspirin mask' at home. Take 4 tablets of uncoated regular aspirin and put a few drops of water on them. Let them dissolve in your hand. Make a paste and rub it on your acne for a few seconds, then let it dry for 20 minutes. Then, rinse it off. Aspirin contains salycylic acid, the stuff they put in acne products to stop acne.
You can also regulate the oil on your face by using jojoba oil as a moisturizer. (You need to moisturize to stop being so oily, it makes no sense but thats how it works). Jojoba is a natural oil that is more like the oil in your skin, and pimple bacteria cant live where you put it. So, after washing your face, put a few drops of jojoba on your skin and massage it in. Google all this, its for real. Good luck :)Male With Acne and Blackheads Need Treatment Help!!?
hi there i used to work in the pharmacy and we often had young men and women in to pick up a solution which the doctors supplied, it may be best to see him or her if you have tried other methods and failed. my daughter used to suffer badly and the doctor prescribed some dianette tablets and a solution which you dabbed on the worst parts, it reallly worked, also my son had a slight problem but with general care when washing and using a facial scrub weekly the spots went, you could try to use a facial sauna and then splash with cold water after to close the pores back up, good luck and hope it clears soon
Murad works, you just need to use it everyday and soon enough you will see a difference. Listen, most products just prevent new acne from forming rather than eliminate old ones. Anything you try you're going to have to use daily without any stops or the acne will come back.
Acne is an inflammatory disease of the skin, caused by changes in the pilosebaseous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland). Acne usually appears during adolescence in its most common form known as ';acne vulgaris';, which means common acne. The revolutionary Acnezine, the natural acne treatment product is out in the market to help you solve the never-ending problem of acne.

You might want to think about using Alpha Hydrox. I use to have serious acne myself. Since I was always interested in skin care. I found out that using a exfoliate for the skin is best. The skin needs to breath and you should be using oil free products too. Also try to lesson eating anything that is greasy. It really does promote the skin to produce more oil. The alpha hydrox line is good for these sort of things. It's a treatment to help exfoliate the skin. Take a look at there website.
I think healty eating will help as what is going on inside your body, reflects on the outside.
But using an exfoliator with oats will greatly help, as it will even out the apperance. Use can also use jojoba oil, lavendar, palmarosa, tea tree and sandalwood oils. Jojoba is similar to our own body's oil so it will not clog pores and create any more spots. Lavendar is very good for scars and soothing the skin, as is palmarosa and tea tree is good to treat any spots. Sandal wood is also good for scars.
(I think that using 40ml jojoba oil, with 15 drops lavendar, 15 drops tea tree and 8 drops palmarosa works well, as it is what I use to help my scars and spots, though I do not have scars as deep as you describe, but I believe that combining it with a daily exfoliator will help you)
Good Luck!

Acne prevention and treatment? ?
i have a little acne on my chest and back and its REALLY bothering me? does anyone have any information or cures or products that will help? Acne prevention and treatment? ?
Yeah, acne free is pretty good and fairly inexpensive.
I used to break out some on my back and I went to my dermatologist and got medicine for it.
One more thing...don't know if you have long hair or not but when my hair was long and I put products in it when it was wet and it would be touching my back while it dried it made me break out. As soon as I cut my hair it cleared up. Just a thought.Acne prevention and treatment? ?
you should go to a chemist or doctors so they can give you some proper cream
umm on ur back... wow. idk lol

I've used SO many different harsh acne treatments and nothing works...?
Has anyone found that leaving it alone or using a more natural approach helped get rid of stubborn acne? Because none of the chemical products I use make any difference whatsoever... I've used everything, Proactiv, Acne Free, benzoyle peroxide, salicylic acid, various scrubs and astringents, Zeno, etc. NOTHING helps. My acne is mild to moderate but it is EXTREMELY stubborn and I'm getting frustrated...I've used SO many different harsh acne treatments and nothing works...?

If you are a girl (I'm assuming you are because of the picture) you could try getting on birth control. I had pretty stubborn acne probably like yours until I got on birth control and it cleared up. I was 21 when I first got on birth control, so if you are still a teenager, then it may not work as well, but it's something you could try. Good luck!
healthier diet....Use antibacterial soap. often and use a non clogging moisturizer.

Can using to many acne treatments leave skin discolaration or dryness?
i used acne free, proactive, neutragena, and right now clearasilCan using to many acne treatments leave skin discolaration or dryness?
Yes, it can, and using too many acne products can make your acne worse.
Beware of using any products for acne unless they have been prescribed or recommended by your doctor. People make all kinds of suggestions about the best thing to do to cure acne. Some cures I’ve heard include putting oatmeal, honey, lemon juice, tea tree oil, cucumber, vinegar, milk of magnesia or toothpaste on your face. Practically every cosmetics company and company that makes personal care products makes something that is a “sure cure” for acne. If we think about this, and use some common sense, we have to come to the conclusion that there is no quick or easy cure for acne, because if there was it would be well known and doctors would be telling everyone about it.
Numerous companies make a lot of money persuading people to buy products that at worst will make the acne worse, and at best may help some people a little. Often fewer products are better. People often make their acne much worse by using too many products. There really is no quick fix for acne. Don’t spend a lot of money on products just because their ads say that they will cure acne. Your doctor is the best person to ask for help, and he or she may recommend some prescription medication or non-prescription treatment that may be suitable for you..
There are some very simple and basic things you can do that cost nothing. Keep your face or any other area affected by acne very clean. Any mild antibacterial soap will help with that. Rinse the area well to remove all soap residue. Drink plenty of water – it really does help to clear up acne. Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep. A healthy life style will make a difference. Try to reduce the stress in your life – stress contributes to acne, so also probably the more you worry about the acne and focus on it, the worse it will be.
Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer.

Can using to many acne treatments leave skin discolaration or dryness?
It shouldnt have any skin discoloration, if it does, you need to get that checked, unless of course its red from rashes or whatever.
washing your face to much period can leave dryness.
you should only wash your face twice a day, cause actually washing it more, and make it break out, because the pores are so open and clean, its like a dirt magnet.
I wouldnt mix products either, especially acne free %26amp; proactive. i use 2 different types on in the morning and one at night.
but switching from so many, can be unhealthy for your face.
i would just check online or with dermatologist if you should be mixing.
Dryness definitely, discoloration i don't know but i've used a lot of products in the past and my skin has slight discoloration which is fading away now but don't know if it's from that or spending too much time in the sun, cos that can lead to discoloration as well.
Don't know about discoloration, but definitely dryness. If you have normal to dry skin already, using too much of a product with too much benzoyl peroxide or salicyclic acid can definitely dry it out even more. Try products with only 2% Benzoyl.
i use clearasil too
it works; it clears the skin but not the acne scars =]
and too many products can only dry your skin, nothing else that i know of.
Defidently can dry out your skin, leading to further breakouts.
personally, clearasil made my acne worse.
you shouldnt use all of them at once, but one at a time should be fine until you find the one that works best for your skin.

What are good home acne treatments?
One of the best (although slowest) ways to treat acne permanently is to treat the inside of your body. If you put the right things into your body to begin with, then you cut down on the acne that you end up with in the long run. There are lots of rumors about what to eat (fruits, veggies, whatever) and what not (chocolate, French Fries, etc.); however, there are two important things you can do to make sure your skin stays clear: 1. Drink lots of water (not soda) and 2. Get out in the sunshine to get your daily dose of vitamin D. The water flushes toxins out of your system and will seriously cut back on your acne problems. When I was in high schooll, I started drinking 2 quarts of water or more a day and spending at least an hour each day outside. This really cut back on any acne problems I had and helped me get a tan :P
If you have really bad acne problems, then you might have to turn to actual medication to treat it. The first step to this would be seeing a dermatologist. One thing that should make you happy, though, is that there are women who have acne on and off in their 30s and 40s, and most women seem to get ';worse'; acne when it's their time of the month. This is typically called P.M.S. acne. When this happens, it happens to ';Everyone';, so don't worry. The other girls are trying to find ways of covering it up and dealing with it just like you are (and that includes your teachers!).What are good home acne treatments?
clean your face every other day with scrub, and use cold water (run it through your wrist, if u can feel that its cold and hot) then wash ur face. and tie up hair and bangs(if any) when you're at home.
bangs are usually the problems for acne on forehead since bangs are hair and hair do get oily throuhgout the day and if its always on ur face its like aptting on oil on that part of ur face throuhgout the day. What are good home acne treatments?
Try these good home acne treatment:
鈥?Mix 1 teaspoon lemon juice with 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples and wash it after 20 minutes with warm water. Repeat for two weeks,
鈥?Use aloe vera juice on the pimples morning and night for as long as necessary (perhaps five months or longer).
鈥?Make orange peel paste by grinding it in some water. Apply on and around pimples.
鈥?Rub garlic on and around pimples.
鈥?Apply fresh mint juice over the face every night for the treatment of pimples.

The best thing ever is Rubbing Alchohol and Cotton...
Put some Alchohol on the cotton and rub it on your face.
I had some pimples around my nose [EEEEK] and I used that and it cleared up in like 2 days.
It doesn't cost much for people who are on a budget, but it's honestly [coming from a designer girl] the best thing...
I mean cotton as the kind like you use to take nailpolish off: ie:

baking soda %26amp; lemon juice mixed to a pastey form put all over your face where there is acne, leave on over-night,will kill the infection of the acne.
if u crush up asprin tablets and make it into a paste with water and put it on your face or spots then it will take the redness and swelling away.
It really worked for me.
I heard if you put honey on a blemish, then cover it with a bandaid, then go to sleep it will make it go away!
Nuetrogena Power Scrub really works. But I hate the way the little beads feel on my face.

I am thinking of getting a facial to help with acne, has anyone had good luck with this kind of treatment?
I did that. It didn't work. the experience was nice.
It's extremely expensive, I live comfortably and I can't afford to get my face rubbed once a month.
Plus, afterwards, they push all these beauty products on you and you feel compelled to buy them.
When it's all done, you have spent over a hundred dollars, your skin looks worse than when you went in.
The next day, I had all these reds marks on my face where she started to squeeze at my skin to try to remove blackheads that I guess wouldn't come out and she gave up.
Then, the products she ';recommended'; would be good for me were total crap. She didn't listen when I told her my skin was extremely acne prone and oily and she gave me this herbal lotion wash, my skin was SO oily for days trying to use that crap, and I finally just switched back to my stuff.
Honestly, you can give yourself a great facial. All you need is steam, a good clay mask, a good exfoliator, a nice rose water elixer, some aromatherapy and a nice cleanser.
It's not as calming and luxurious as the pampering spa, but the effects on your skin turn out just as good if not better if you do it yourself.
That is why very rich people get crap like that done all the time, it's just another nice way to spend your money and get treated like a princess.
I recommend it just for the experience.I am thinking of getting a facial to help with acne, has anyone had good luck with this kind of treatment?
There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. I am an esthetician and treat a lot of acne patients. A good facial with extractions can help your skin look better for a little while. A monthly facial and, most importantly: taking good care of your skin at home on a daily basis will give you a big improvement.

Best benzoyl peroxide acne treatments?
Salicylic acid just doesn't seem to work for me(burns and dries out my face-and doesn't get rid of the zits). So I'm hunting for benzoyl peroxide products, I've found Zapzyt-it's alright, dries out my face though. Any other benzoyl products out there that I don't know about? Because I'm not having much luck finding them. Thanks a bunch!Best benzoyl peroxide acne treatments?
go to acne.org and buy the dan kern regimen gel its only 2.5 percent benzoyl peroxide so it might not be so drying and apparently it works wonders.Best benzoyl peroxide acne treatments?
Oxy. You can choose the concentration to suit your skin conditions. Neutrogena spot treatment contains this as well. But use sparingly though.
You could try Oxy Balance, its an acne treatment for sensitive skin.
well the stuff i use doesn't have much, if any, benzoyl peroxide in it, but my skin stays really clear. i use clearasil daily oil control scrub with peppermint and tea. it smells really good and clears up your skin. oh, and it doesn't dry out your skin very bad. i also use plain aloe on my face as a moisturizer, my skin tends to dry out sometimes too. for the aloe, use just a small dab of the plain aloe, and rub it on your skin like you would a lotion. it will be a little bit sticky at first but it will go away in a second or so once it has dried. it helps soo much if your skin is dried out. you can find these products at your local wal-mart. i hope this helps.
i have used benziclin and it works well, but it's a prescription. There is a line of products by the name of AcneFree, and they make awesome items. one thing they make is an acne and blackhead terminator. it comes in a little .75 oz tube and is good too. i like it best and it's over the counter. it is a benzoyl peroxide/salicylic acid combo. 1%BP 1.5% SA. hope this helps.
Acne Free!!! its a MIRACLE worker i swear!
See if u can find a Gemmel Pharmacy where you live.
Try Pro-activ. Benzyl peroxide is the main ingredient and it has totally worked miracles on me! I swear by it. I saw results in just a few days but it can take a week or two but I have awesome clear skin now. I spent a fortune at the dermatologist before I found pro-activ.
Acne-free is the walmart generic of pro-activ. It didnt work for me like pro activ does.

(besides mederna and laser treatment)?
I had some acne scars on my face that come and go *its weird.
But I started using lemon/lemon juice just last week and i can see a huge difference already. I applied honey afterwards to soothe/moisturize as lemon dries out the skin--or you could apply milk.
You could try Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel
I had tried this a couple of years ago but didn't see much of a result (that may be because I did not apply it consistently AT ALL, just randomly)
Good luckTreatment for acne scars fast??? (besides mederna and laser treatment)?
Sorry to break the bad news but Mederma and laser treatments are the only way to get rid of the scars. Mederma will take a while but it does a good job. The pixel laser will completely erase them.
There's no at home remedy to get rid of acne scars.
Cocoa butter will just make your acne worse and won't get rid of the deep scars.
Cornflour will just keep your skin from looking shiny but, won't help with the texture.
The best thing to do would be to cover the scars with a primer and then makeup.
Actually, i have another solution for you.
It's called the Post-Acne Lightening Gel from Murad skincare. It's a tube of a lightwieght gell that you put on, a thin layer, everyday and you see significant results in about a month or so... it could even be faster depending on your skin type.
It's only about 60 dollars at most and it works amazingly.. trust me.
:)

Has anyone ever heard of acne on a man's penis? Is there a home cure treatment for this?
Yes I have. My bf had this on his. He had it since he was ten years old. Before he was sexually active. It has never bothered me. A person can get acne everywhere, why not on their genitals. For all the other ignorant ppl answering this. Its not an STD dumbass. Go to the dermatologist. There is a specified cure just for this. And its not herpes.Has anyone ever heard of acne on a man's penis? Is there a home cure treatment for this?
Are you sure it's acne? maybe its herpes.Has anyone ever heard of acne on a man's penis? Is there a home cure treatment for this?
go to a doctor. it it checked. its prob herpies or stds.
There is a home cure. It's called giving him the BOOT. And getting a checkup....
it's called and STD there genius
Sometimes you can get a blocked or ingrowing hair follicle. Treatment is to unblock.
No you might have STD's get that checked fast
No such thing.
However , there is such thing as herpes.
OR, like in many cases, it's just a misgrown hair,.
Hope i was helpful.
Sounds a lot more like Herpes to me!
May I suggest that the person seek medical attention. There are several possible causes of this problem and none of them have a successful home cure.
no home treatments just penniciliyn
Youi best be getting to the doctor and get that looked at and be sure and wash your hands after touching it.makeup brush

I never had laser treatment. i wish i would. results vary. though the results are amazing.
it depends, they will need to see you to tell you.

Has anyone been on Minocin for acne for over a year and has the acne come back once you stopped the treatment?
I've been on and off Minocin for almost a year in order to treat my acne. (I also use RetinA). The first time I used it, I completely cleared up so my derm. took me off the medication. I started flaring up again and so he put me on 50 mcg instead of 100. It didnt really work and so now im back on 100 mcg. However, its been a month and i dont seem to be clearing up as well as before. I was wondering if anyone had had this experience. Or if anyone has been on this medication for so long? Im starting to get worried because i do know that taking antibiotics long term is not a good idea. I'd like to stop taking the medication but I'm worried my acne will just come back...Has anyone been on Minocin for acne for over a year and has the acne come back once you stopped the treatment?
Hi Aline,
it's important to inform yourself first before buying the wrong solution. Products like e.g. accutane or proactiv (and those pills doctors prescribe) are aggressive and can cause damages to you and your skin since they contain harmful ingredients.
Your best bet would be to check out
http://301url.com/acne-treatment-review
Make sure you bookmark it for future reference. Read through the products review section. The #1 rated listed there (and which I used successfully) is one of the very few products out there which really treats the acne problem at its roots from inside and out, no matter which kind of acne you have. Without damaging your skin, all natural.
I've literally wasted hundreds on other ';miracles'; but this one is highly efficient and that's what only counts for me.
Hope that helps.
All the best,
Melinda

With out all the treatment you see on tv,is there anything that will clear your acne naturally.
Ive tried Neutrogena,Proactive, and more! They don't work.I wash my face twice a day with dial soap.Yea STILL have acne here.Is there a naturall treatment you can make easily or thats cheap??PLEASE HELP!!With out all the treatment you see on tv,is there anything that will clear your acne naturally.
Acne Prevention Treatment - Find a regimen and stick with it. Most cases of mild acne can be improved with ';over-the-counter'; products, or products that don't require a prescription from your doctor. There is a wide range of treatments available, and there's a good chance one of them will work for you. If you start treatment before your acne gets severe, you'll have a better chance of avoiding physical and emotional problems down the road. But if your acne gets worse or lasts more than a couple of weeks, see a dermatologist. Here's a quick listing of the most common products used to treat acne - click on the links that interest you for more information on that course of acne treatment.

The only thing natural and cheap is to simply grow out of puberty.
Other than that, a doctor can prescribe doxycycline, an antibiotic that you take each day for 6-12 months (works wonders for many people) or something more 'hard core', such as Accutane.
you have to eat healthier.
try not to eat to much fast food.
it's the grease and the salt.
eat more fruit
what i do is
take my makeup off wash my face with warm water put a warm towel on my face the rinse with cold water that helps me

Would Mederma work???Treatment for ACNE SCARS left after acne??
Hi. Glad to hear the facial gel worked. You may also want to check with a dermotologist who can give you medication to prevent future breakouts. I'm a huge fan of dermatology rather than using over the counter products. However, I too had some scars due to acne and also cuts/scrapes/road rash from a motorcycle accident. I used Mederma and it worked great. I also used the generic scar gel from Walgreens and it worked even better and was a bit less expensive.

I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.
are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.
Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.
Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.
Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.
