Laser treatment for acne?

Who has tried it and what has your result been? And how much was it?Laser treatment for acne?
i am actually going to go in to get treatment done in 2 days, i can let you know the exact results then. the place i am going to costs 1,000 for 10 treatments and less for fewer treatments. i heard places costing 2,200-5,000 for couple treatments and i honestly think it is a scam because the laser itself costs only 30-40k, therefore treatments are only 200-300 dollars.Laser treatment for acne?
There are many different types of lasers -- and different ones are used to treat acne than acne scarring. Four primary types of laser/light treatments are used to treat acne: ClearLight/BlueLight, SmoothBeam, Isolaz, and Photodynamic therapy. Photodynamic therapy can help treat some acne scarring, as can SmoothBeam, but they only have a mild effect. The others treat only active acne, and have no effect on acne scarring.

Other lasers, like Fraxel, CO2, or even Rhytec Plasma (not really a laser) can be used to treat acne scarring -- but these won't treat active acne.

Which laser is the best for you will depend on whether you have active acne, acne scarring, or both. All of these have very different costs. Also, acne scarring is categorized into three primary types: rolling, boxcar, and ice-pick. The type of laser you need would depend on which type of acne scarring (if any) you have.

The important thing here is to not choose a ';medi-spa'; without seeking a medical consulation first. Many ';medi-spas'; will sell you whatever you're willing to buy. You need to seek a consultation with a dermatologist who has significant experience with lasers -- and who can offer more than one type of laser procedure -- in order to know you're getting the correct laser/light treatment for you. Otherwise, you could be wasting your money. Do some thorough research before parting with your dollars.
